Bailey-Parks Urethane, Inc. began manufacturing as Polyurethane Products Company in Memphis, Tennessee in 1969. Our start up was to make press-on tires for the fairmont Railway Motor Company. Failing rubber tires made their railroad service equipment operable for only a few hours each day. Our urethane tires offered them unlimited operating time.
Soon after that, we started recovering rollers and wheels used in the manufacture of housing products, such as paneling, plywood, composite roofing, pre-finished molding, etc. That necessitated us setting up an in-house roller stripping-grinding operation as well as our own machine shop.
Our machine shop led to a metal fabricating department and to building custom equipment for customers as well as for ourselves.
Within our first year we purchased a larger building as well as keeping our rented facility. We expanded into a full line of fork lift wheels and press-on tires and even glue glycerin and thykol rollers.
committed to continued growth, we began making custom parts used primarily in the automotive industry. From the engine, glass, steel, tire and accessory plants we made parts used in the assembly plants.
Our next phase was to diversify into the grain, food processing and mining industries. Since then our diversity continues to grow.
Today we make urethane products that are used in the manufacturing processes of virtually everything you see. We offer engineering expertise in designing or making anything and everything out of thermoset urethanes. We still make all of our molds, tooling and custom machines in house - with very few exceptions. We specialize in solving your impact, wear and abrasion problems. We give away many free samples to prove the superiority of our products as well as offering reasonably priced prototype custom parts for our customer's evaluation.
Unlike a lot of companies, when we determine what you need isn't urethane after all, we go out of our way to connect you with a company that offers a solution with another material.
Our delivery times on stock items and most rollers are exceptional. Our turnaround on tooling and custom parts is also exceptional.
